Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking for a meaningful role in a purpose-driven clinic? At Elevate Medical, we’re seeking a Medical Biller who’s passionate about accuracy, communication, and contributing to a patient-first team focused on Total Health and Performance.
• Process and submit billing claims to insurance providers and patients with accuracy and timeliness
• Review patient charts and verify completeness of billing information
• Assign proper diagnosis and procedure codes (ICD-10, CPT)
• Manage patient accounts and ensure all accounts are set up in billing software within one business day
• Collaborate with the Office Manager and clinical team on treatment plan agreements and payment tracking
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and manage medical collections as needed
• Prepare and transmit daily electronic and paper billing batches
• Post payments within two business days
• Generate weekly and monthly production reports within specified timelines
• Monitor account activity and notify team of overdue balances or financial concerns
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, insurance companies, and the care team
• Stay current on billing regulations, payer requirements, and coding updates
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and business information
• Current certification in medical billing required (e.g., CPB, CMRS, or CBCS)
• Proven experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations (minimum two years)
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and insurance claims processing
• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing workflows, and collections
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficiency with EHR systems and billing platforms
• Commitment to ethical billing practices and patient confidentiality
• Mostly desk-based with consistent computer and phone use
• Must be able to lift/move light items (files, records, etc.) up to 15 lbs
• Able to sit, focus, and type for extended periods
• Must be able to talk, hear, and see clearly in a clinical environment
